Visit Knoxville Internship

I had the privilege of being the Fall Marketing Intern for Visit Knoxville during fall semester of my senior year at the University of Tennessee. My internship lasted from August 2023 to December 2023. During my time at Visit Knoxville, I had the opportunity to work closely with the Director of Communications and Social Strategy, as well as collaborate with a diverse team across various departments. This role offered me a unique perspective on my hometown, Knoxville, from a marketing lens.

I contributed by creating short form video content for Instagram and TikTok, showcasing local attractions, and writing blog posts to enhance the city’s online presence. It was exciting to see how these efforts played a role in promoting Knoxville to both visitors and locals. I also gained hands-on experience in SEO optimization and event coordination, particularly working with independent writers on a familiarization tour. This experience broadened my understanding of the dynamic nature of marketing and strengthened my skills in content creation, social media strategy, and collaboration.
